Watervliet Fish and Game Protective Association, Inc. membership is open to all persons of good character who enjoy the shooting sports and support the goals and objectives of the organization as outlined in our By-Laws.

A prospective member must obtain (in person at the clubhouse when there are scheduled events taking place, such as a general membership meeting or on weekends when open shooting leagues are taking place) an application for membership, a copy of the general Association and range rules, and the sponsorship of a current member in good standing of the Association.  The membership form must be completed and returned with appropriate fees (check or money order, no cash) to the Membership Chairperson of the Association no later than 5:00 pm of the Saturday immediately preceding the regular monthly meeting (held the second Thursday of each month, except for July and August when there are no membership meetings held) in order to be processed prior to that meeting.  Any membership application received after the Sunday immediately preceding the regular monthly meeting will be processed the following month.

As required in the By-Laws of the Association, the prospective member or his/her sponsor must be present at the meeting during which the membership application is presented.  If neither is present, the application will not be submitted.

All new members are required to attend a club orientation class before they receive membership cards and the privilege to use the premises.  The orientation class provides familiarization with the club rules and safety requirements particular to each range and an opportunity for any questions you may have to be answered.  It is usually held the Saturday morning following the membership meeting (check our webpage under Current News and Events by going to http://www.wfgpa.org/ for specifics).  Please bring eye and ear protection to the orientation class as the ranges will most likely be in use.  Membership cards and key cards will be distributed at the conclusion of this class.

Please note that annual memberships expire on the 31st of December each year. Your renewal is due prior to that date to maintain an active status.  After that date you will, without exception, be dropped from the membership roll, lose any seniority for continuous membership and be required to re-apply as a new member.  Key cards will be deactivated as well.
